The President of GREVIO and member of the Governing Board of MFHR, Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou, participated on 10 March 2025 in an important side-event of the Council of Europe titled: “Threats and opportunities of Digital Technologies: women in the public eye”, organized in the framework of the 69th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69, 10 – 21 March 2025) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, in the packed hall of the Economic and Social Council. 

During her speech, Ms. Kostopoulou stressed, in particular, the ever-increasing digital dimension of violence against women and highlighted the central role of the Istanbul Convention in addressing this phenomenon and in promoting equality and safety for all women in general.
