This book is a collection of studies and presents the problematic for the environment in practice and in law, emphasising the motivations of the vigorous reaction to the substantial protection of the environment. Authors of the project are University and Polytechnic Professors, Councilors of State and other experts. In particular, the European, international and national dimensions of the issue are being examined, while the entire decision of the Committee om Social Rights of the Council of Europe on the MFHR’s complaint against Greece for the contamination of Ptolemaida and Megalopolis by the activities of Public Power Corporation (DEH) is published. The project is supplemented with relevant legislation (laws, directives, etc.), useful international instruments, a list of the cases that resulted in Greece being condemned by the CJEU for reasons related to the environment, statistical data, etc.
