This piece of work, being the first extensive work of the Young Researcher’s Group of the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR), attempts to approach the phenomenon of online child pornography, a phenomenon continuously acquiring greater dimensions, creating new challenges for both the researcher and the legislator. With regard to its structure, this piece of work is divided in two pillars: a phenomenological and a legal one. In the phenomenological part, the phenomenon itself is discussed, i.e. its manifestations, the profile of the perpetrator and the victim, as well as other specific issues, while in the legal framework, the legislative regulation of the subject at international, European and national levels is presented. It is supplemented with a particularly rich bibliography and articles (mainly in foreign languages), useful electronic addresses and an alphabetical index.
