In recent years, war, persecution and poverty have led over a million people to seek refuge in Europe through dangerous routes, risking their lives for a better future. Facing institutional weaknesses, Europe appeared, unfortunately, unprepared for the social integration of such a large number of immigrants and refugees, with what this entails for its social cohesion and cultural identity.
