PARTICIPATION OF THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE MFHR, LINOS-ALEXANDER SICILIANOS, IN THE 53rd SUMMER SCHOOL OF THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS RENÉ CASSIN

On Monday 24 June 2024, the opening ceremony of the 53rd Summer School of the International Institute for Human Rights René Cassin, that will be held from 24 June-19 July 2024, took place, in Strasbourg.
During the ceremony, the President of the Institute, Professor Emmanuel Decaux, and the Director, Professor Sébastien Touzé welcomed the participants. The keynote speaker, Ms. Claire Hedon (Défenseure des droits), presented the role and action of the said independent authority, as well as the challenges it faces. The Vice President of the MFHR, Professor Linos-Alexander Sicilianos, participated in the opening ceremony. In addition, Professor Sicilianos has successfully given a series of lectures on the European Human Rights Protection System, the most developed and comprehensive human rights system at an international level.
The MFHR, in the context of its long-standing cooperation with the Institute, announces an annual competition, and this year, Ms. Georgia Tsiakmaki, Mr. Vassileios Athanassiou and Ms. Eirini-Theoni Bougonikolou were awarded and they already attend the “International Human Rights Law” Unit of the Summer Course.
