MARIA-ANDRIANI KOSTOPOULOU ELECTED PRESIDENT OF GREVIO
Mrs. Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou, Deputy Director of the MFHR, was elected President of the Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence of the Council of Europe (GREVIO).

The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights warmly congratulates its Deputy Director, Dr. Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou, for her well-deserved election as President of the Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence of the Council of Europe (GREVIO)! She is the first Greek being appointed President of this monitoring body of the Council of Europe. Mrs. Kostopoulou’s nomination succeeded her previous honorary election among the 27 candidates for GREVIO’s members.
The MFHR emphasises on issues related to GREVIO’s competence, especially since they rank on top of the agenda of the Council of Europe, according to the recent Declaration of the Organisation’s Summit. The Board and the staff of the MFHR wholeheartedly wish to Dr. Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou all the best in her new duties!
