ECHR IN THE DEMOTIC GREEK LANGUAGE
The European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) was published in the Demotic Greek language and presented in an event co-organised by the MFHR and the Athens Bar Association (ABA), under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

The Foundation undertook the task of translating the emblematic text of the ECHR and Protocol No 1 to the Demotic Greek language. It is an important contribution accomplished under the supervision and participation of MFHR’s Vice President, Professor Linos-Alexander Sicilianos, the ECtHR Judge Ioannis Ktistakis and the MFHR’s Deputy Director Dr. Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou.
The official version of this text was published in the Official Gazette, No 205 (1 November 2022).
The said text, signed by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, was deposited with the Council of Europe Secretary General.
On this occasion, the MFHR organised an event on the topic “ECHR in the Demotic Greek language: Recent developments in the European human rights protection system”, on 2 November 2022.
