President of the Constitutional Rights Committee of the Athens Bar Association
President of the Constitutional Rights Committee of the Athens Bar Association and regular contributor (1981-2006) and responsible for the publication of the scientific journal of the Athens Bar Association “Nomiko Vima”. Chairman of the Special Legal Drafting Committee of the new Criminal Code and President of the Union of Greek Criminal Lawyers (1996-2013), founding member and member of the first Board of Directors of the Union of Greek Constitutionalists and other scientific associations.
President of the Melina Mercouri Foundation and of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Culture for the Return of the “Acropolis Marbles”. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Organisation of the “Megaron the Great Music Hall (1986-2009). He primarily specialized in criminal law and civil rights cases, while also addressing a range of broader legal issues. Furthermore, he held the position of legal advisor to the Technical Chamber of Greece.

Vice Director of MFHR, President of GREVIO
Vice Director of MFHR and President of the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO). She provides legal services to the Council of Europe on human rights issues and engages in human rights education in collaboration with both international and national bodies. She has served as Chair of the Council of Europe’s Steering Committee on the Rights of the Child (CDENF) and has also been the Chair of CAHENF and CAHENF-VAC, member of the Advisory Board of the European HELP Programme and of the Executive Committee of the European Network of Experts on Gender Equality. She has authored approximately 50 publications in Greek, English, and French covering a wide range of topics in the field of human rights.
