The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) will announce, for the sixteenth consecutive year, the conferment of nine Awards (three for Elementary School, three for Secondary School and three for High School) to pupils of the School of the Special Detention Center for Juveniles of Avlona (ΕΚΚΝΑ), who stood out for their performance, their ethics and their regular attendance in classes during this academic year.

The awards were established in 2007 under the initiative of the dearly departed of the President of the MFHR, Alice Yotopoulos-Marangopoulos, in view of boosting imprisoned minors’ and young persons’ interest in their studies. The awards consist of a 600€ prize for each class and the awardees are being selected by the School’s Teaching Staff.
