MFHR Awards “Alice Yotopoulos-Marangopoulos in memoriam of her son Nick”
The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) will grant nine annual awards for the 17th consecutive year. These awards will be distributed among students at the School of the Special Detention Juvenile Center in Avlona and are divided into three categories: three for Elementary School, three for Secondary School, and three for High School.
These awards aim to give students practical recognition for their academic performance, ethics, and regular attendance during the current academic year. Established in 2007 by the former MFHR President, Professor Emerita Alice Yotopoulos-Marangopoulos, these awards encourage imprisoned minors and young individuals to engage more actively in their education.
Each award includes a monetary prize of €600 per grade, and the school’s Teaching Staff is responsible for selecting the recipients.
