The role of men and boys in promoting gender equality after the adoption of the post-2015 Development Agenda

The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) is pleased to announce that within the context of its consultative status with the United Nations it has submitted a written statement at the 60th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) which is taking place from 14 to 24 March 2016 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The statement was drafted by the MFHR Research Fellow, Theano Maneta, and as an official document it is available in the six official languages of the United Nations.

“The refugee and migrant crisis in need for a prompt and comprehensive UN response”

It is with great pleasure that the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) announces that its written statement submitted at the 31st Session of the Human Rights Council which is taking place from 29 February to 24 March 2016 in Geneva has been approved. The written statement which was drafted by the MFHR Research Fellow, Theano Maneta, addresses the important issue of the current refugee and migrant crisis and the challenges posed to human rights by the unsatisfactory and inadequate responses given so far by the international community and calls upon the Human Rights Council to take immediate action.

MFHR Statement

Within the context of the 70thRegular Session of the UN General Assembly, which is scheduled to open on 15 September 2015,the United Nations Summit for the Adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda will convene from 25 to 27 September 2015, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

 

With regard to this important issue, the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) has already submitted a written statement at the ECOSOC High-level Segment on the theme: «Managing the transition from the Millennium Development Goals to the sustainable development goals: what it will take». The written statement, which was drafted by the MFHR Research Fellow, Theano Maneta, was accepted by ECOSOC and as an official document it is available in the six official languages of the United Nations.
